It's unnecessary for the hadith to be true that some actions are kept from the knowledge of the Prophet of God (God bless him and give him peace in every moment and time). If one considers that these people are punished for their innovations, it follows that God means for them to be punished. Then it is fitting that such actions are veiled from the prophets both to manifest the superiority of Allah's knowledge, to shield the hearts of the prophets from what displeases them out of mercy and compassion for them, and to manifest Allah's intention to punish those who corrupt what He has revealed.

Muslim :: Book 30 : Hadith 5706

Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: Some persons from amongst my associates would turn to my Cistern; when I would see them and they would be presented to me, they would be detained in the way while coming to me. I would say: My Lord, they are my companions, they are my companions, and it would be said to me:
           "You don't know" what innovations they made after you.

As it's been told this hadith has been recorded at several books of hadith and even within the sahih Bukhari and Sahih muslim.

If the deeds were already presented to the prophet than how he will be not aware of their deeds as Allah tells the prophet that "he doesnt know" ??
So isnt this a clear contradiction with the sahih hadith of Muslim?

Salamu 'alaykum,

I have updated the article with additional quotes, Shaykh Gibril's brief unveiling of Al-Albani's contradiction, and polished up on the editing [June 20th 2010].

Who said this was an 'aqidic issue? It is regarding the miracles of the Nabi 'alayhis salam and the what has been narrated regarding his "life" postmortum. What scholar of the past made this text an issue of 'aqidah?

How did we discredit our master Imam Ash-Shafi'i?

Why must you take your down from the issues of ikhtilaf. In this research, you are discrediting some of the greatest 'ulemaa such as, Al Imam Shafi'i, Al Bukhari, Ibn Hibban and the many you mentioned. If I was to post what these 'ulemaa have said with regards to this particular hadith, it would fill much space, but all you done took what was supporting your ideas.

We all know this is an issue on 'Aqidah and that somehow you have to proof to us that the four Imams allowed or used mursal ahadith as proof in 'Aqidah!

My advice is to get the latest release of Shaykh Muhammad Al-'Alawi Al Maliki's Mafahim, translated as "Notions that must be corrected":

http://www.sunnipubs.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=195&category_id=2&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26

or you can try and contact Br. Shibli @ firdousbooks.com . You can purchase it at the Suhbas btw.

If you mean by intercession, "tawassul", then you can look at sunnipath.com and there are some fatwas there. If you cant find anything, I will collect the material needed :)

Mabrook on your accepting the tariqah! From here on out things will only become tougher! May Allah aid you and and us amin!
